Women make or influence 85% of all purchasing decisions

Women make up 51.4 percent of the population of the United States, but they make or influence 85 percent of all purchasing decisions.

According to MayoSeitz Media’s Media Monitor Report, women control $4.3 trillion in U.S. consumer spending.

Women make:

  • 80% of healthcare decisions
  • 70% of travel decisions
  • 65% of new car purchases
  • 53% of used car purchases
  • 57% of electronics purchase

Worldwide, women control about $20 trillion in annual consumer spending.

So if your marketing program does not reflect the dominance of women, especially Moms’ spending potential, you need to get a new plan and do it quickly.
